The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity. J'espère qu'on me passera cette référence datée et de plutôt mauvais goût mais ce premier album éponyme d'Autonoesis me rappelle le portrait de la femme idéale brossé par Pascal dans Les Trois Frères (grosse référence, hein ?) : on a principalement du thrash metal exécuté à la perfection avec des solos de guitares incroyables qui s'enchaînent, avec une production et des thèmes du black metal atmosphérique (jusqu'à suivre la philosophie de tout faire seul) et du chant black metal. ET TOUT TIENT !
